A Florida man’s pet Burmese Python bit, strangled and killed his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter who lived in the same house (the grieving couple is pictured to the right).  

According to reports, the snake had escaped from its unlocked terrarium for the second time that night.

Authorities are considering negligence charges in the case because Florida state law requires pythons to be kept under lock.  Burmese Pythons swallow their prey whole and can grow to be 18 feet long and 160 pounds!
