Often overlooked by the fashion media, the plus-size market is finally getting the recognition it deserves.  Harpers Bazaar Australia’s recent issue featured an editorial spread with “plus-size” model Crystal Renn.  The spread highlight’s Crystal’s voluptuous curves and embraces her sexy plus-size figure. How will Harpers Bazaar’s endorsement of a plus-size woman affect the overall plus-size industry and women’s perspectives on size?

With over 20+ years of experience in the fashion and publishing industries, Nancy LeWinter, a plus-size fashion expert from OneStopPlus.com, the world’s first and only plus-size webmall offered insight on the topic:

“62 percent of all American women (18 or older) are wearing a size 12+, and yet the plus size market is still overlooked,” says LeWinter.  “Fashion is fashion no matter what your size. The secret to looking great at any size is to play up what you like about your body and to balance your clothing. Having worked in fashion publishing for years, it’s great to see  high-end fashion publication’s new found respect for women of style no matter what their sizes. The plus size market is finally receiving the recognition it deserves.”

What do you think of this sexy editorial Marvelous Girls?
